b. Establish two-way communication

a. Wind the timer (fig. 120) ; use the
spring winding knob.
b. Return the second and minute hands
to the zero (60) position by press-
ing the return to zero pushbutton.
c. Press the start-stop pushbutton and
simultaneously start a timing
source of known accuracy.
d. Allow the timer to operate for sev-
eral minutes. The time indicated
on the timer should agree with
that of the timing source. If the
time is either slow or fast, re-
move the speed regulator cover
plate and move the speed regula-
tor (not shown) in the proper di-
rection.
e. Repeat the procedures in b, c, and
d above until the timer agrees
with the timing source.
